Chanel President & COO to Leave in June

After five years with the company, John Galantic has decided to pursue external career opportunities.

Chanel President and Chief Operations Officer (COO) John Galantic has decided to leave the French luxury fashion house to pursue external career opportunities after 16 years with the company.
 
He will continue to helm the business until his departure at the end of June.

Galantic’s Achievements at Chanel

During his career at Chanel, Galantic established and oversaw the company’s Global Digital Services, which was created to support the brand’s digital capabilities.
 
Additionally, he led the company’s sustainability and social commitment through initiatives such as Sunrun, the launch of Chanel Community and the Racial Justice Fund. 
 
Prior to joining Chanel, Galantic spent five years as Coty Inc.’s President and COO.
 
“Chanel is grateful for John Galantic’s contributions during his tenure and wishes him continued success for his next chapter,” a spokesperson for the brand stated.
 
Chanel says Galantic’s successor will be announced soon.
